midweek happee

Happy Chinese New Year!

+ + +

Lest we forget, it's Ash Wednesday today. I've been meaning to go to Church (gasp! is that me!?) but unfortunately, work beckoned. *sigh*.

Happy joy-joy! Took a breezy 15-minute cab ride to work today through the new Katipunan-Santolan route, now beautifully traffic-free due to the renovations (after what seemed like 10 years..) Yey! I can finally go to Eastwood/Makati/South and not worry about the routes going there. *dances around*

I am thrilled and somewhat rejuvenated by the workshop i got to attend yesterday at the Lopez Museum. Granted, it was short, but the actiivity was quite a jolt into my system. I was joined by my sweetie and Haydee for this afternoon of sketches, visual imagery and creative feeding --- our artist/guide toured us around, poring over the sketches and studies of known masters Hidalgo, Manansala and Luna while feeding us extensive musings, critques and intersting anecdotes. After that, we got to do our own sketches in an hour and a half. Jason got to draw his first hand --- i was quite impressed, and very proud! (syempre!) We got to do portraits (i did terribly) and landscapes, which was fun. Haydee also did quite beautifully, and i was really glad to spend some time with her again (i miss you girl!)

Gnocchi fever has hit us and Jason is pursuing his dream of making gnocchi at home. hehhe.
